Dolphin Research & Identification project

Dolphin Data Form

Gotta a nice camera and want to spend time on the water? Then you can help us out!! The project will start around the beginning of June 2019.

Click here for a PDF copy of the data sheet we will need you to fill out and hand in when you are a volunteer.

Over the last several years I have taken hundreds if not thousands of dolphin identification pictures. Dolphins can often be easily recognized and positively identified if they possess a distinct dorsal fin. Many dolphins also have scratches and scars on their bodies that can help to positively ID them.  What we need are volunteers who have decent camera gear and a desire to hang out with dolphins. Your observations and photo ID’s can be taken from the beach or from one of our several boats or if you have your own boat please feel free to use it!

So we need you to help us take data and pictures like the ones above! San Carlos is an exceptionally interesting place when it comes to bottlenose dolphins so anyone who wants to help us on this project please let me know by sending me a plain text or using WhatsApp @ 622-126-0622 or send Vince an email: worldsaquarium@gmail.com
