On the 25th of June Vince and Ines participated in a forum in Cabo San Lucas. The forum was being held to allow members of the public to express their opinions on whether Article 68 of the General Law of Mexican Fisheries should be amended. Currently article 68 protects the following species of fish.
Over the years the commercial fishing industry in Mexico has tried to remove Dorado from the list of protected species in Mexico. The tourism industry in Mexico has beat back the proposal every time and Article 68 remains intact since it’s approval in the 80’s.
